Tara Wood PA-C Physician Assistant
Tara graduated from MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program, BCHS, University of Washington (Seattle, WA). My family moved to Alaska in 1995 when I was still in school. I am blessed to have my parents and all of my siblings here in Alaska. I have 3 wonderful children who are the joy of my life. They make me proud, make me laugh, and make me grow every day. They remind me that my greatest work is at home. I love the relational aspect of primary care. I appreciate getting to know my patients and treating them as friends and family. Chances are if I see you a few times I will ask you about that trip you took to see your grandchildren, or how training your new puppy is coming along. Often details come out when someone feels comfortable with you, that might not otherwise have been voiced. I hold sacred the trust of my patients and it is an honor for me to serve and promote their best health. Although I enjoy the diversity of issues seen in a Family Medicine clinic, I have a special affinity for treating migraines, musculoskeletal and spinal complaints, and performing in-office procedures.
